After about two minutes the following must be observed:
•
The “Active” LEDs on all I/O packs and the active CTL are permanently
illuminated.
•
The “Active” LED and the “Fault” LED on the “XC unit (active)” are
extinguished.
•
The “Active” LED on the standby XC unit is permanently illuminated.
Troubleshooting:
If the conditions described above cannot be observed, refer to
appendix A, section
“XC protection test failure” (p. A-11)
NOTE:
Before proceeding to the next steps you must wait for about 15 minutes
due to timing synchronization processes.

CTL protection test
Proceed as follows to perform the CTL protection test:

Unlock the latches of the active CTL unit (is indicated by the “Active” LED) and wait
until the “Fault” LED on that CTL is permanently on. Then remove the CTL unit
completely. This order of steps must be observed to avoid database corruption.
