
DS3/EC1 equipment protection groups
Up to 8 DS3/EC1 equipment protection groups can be set up per subrack and each
DS3/EC1 equipment protection group is formed by two adjacent EP51s (see
5-9, “EP51 slot assignment” (p. 5-41)
) in combination with an ECI51 interface paddle
board. One ECI51 interface paddle board supports up to two protection groups.
