Rack extension (height)

Purpose

This rack extension is used to enlarge the rack frame with a height of 400 mm
[15.748”]. The additional space can be used for STM-1e cable excess lengths, for
example.

Available rack extensions

The following rack extensions are available:

•

Rack extension (height), 600 mm [23.622”] x 400 mm [15.748”] — CC848902656
This rack extension must be used for racks without rack extensions (width).

•

Rack extension (height), 750 mm [29.527”] x 400 mm [15.748”] — CC848902664
This rack extension must be used for racks with rack extensions (width).

Mounting

Proceed as follows to mount the rack extension:

Mount the two extension plates (SC1000501, item 3) to the top of the rack frame with
the help of four screws (Hexagonal bolt, STL ST-70, M12x20 — CC847191574) as
shown in the figure below.

Mount the bracket for coverplate left (CC848301925, item 1) to the left extension plate
and the bracket for coverplate right (CC848301933, item 2) to the right extension
plate.

Mount the coupling brackets (SC1000504, item 4), which connect the side plates of the
rack extension, on both sides (front and rear).

Click the coverplate (CC848302543, item 5) on the bracket, when all cables are routed
to the subrack(s).
