Filter Wheel Assembly Removal / Replacement

INTRODUCTION

The filter wheel assembly is secured to the front of
the x-ray source by a cover.

TOOL LIST

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

PRECONDITIONS

Machine locked out. See 6.1.1 for details.

•

Door open.

REMOVE

Rotate shutter to better access filter wheel.

Using 1/16” hex key, remove three hex screws securing filter wheel retainer to filter wheel
mount base. Support wheel while removing last screw.

REPLACE

Ensure filter numbers on front of wheel are visible.

Place filter wheel onto shaft.

Secure filter wheel retainer with three screws and 1/16” hex key. Ensure wheel can rotate
easily.
