Software Set Up / Back Up

Section 5.1
Computer Hard Drive

5.1.1

Ghost an Image on C Drive & Update Software

Enter the computer BIOS by pressing

at initial computer boot up.

Set boot sequence as follows: DVD, floppy, Hard drive

Insert the ghost image DVD, ensuring correct version for the machine before exiting BIOS

Exit BIOS

Click on any key to boot from DVD (Wait for “Boot from DVD” prompt).

Ghost the screen as follows:

Hit

for first 2 prompts

Continue with marking drives >

Local > disk > from image

Look in drives and change to DVD

Open (Alt+

)

Select the first drive (default) small one

Destination? Click

Proceed? Click

YES

The message Clone completed successfully appears. Choose to continue

Quit

Click on

YES.

Remove the ghost image DVD from the computer and restart.

Note:

The next 2 steps require the system to be connected to the Internet.

Perform Windows Update, as described below.
