6.2.1

Comair Blower and Hose Removal / Replacement

The blower is located behind the left panel assembly.

X-ray shielding contains lead and lead compounds, chemicals known (to the State of California) to
cause cancer and other reproductive harm. Wear gloves when handling shielding and wash hands
after handling.

PRECONDITIONS

REMOVE

1.

Disconnect power cable from blower.

2.

Using slotted screwdriver loosen clamp
securing ventilator hose to blower.

3.

Using 5/32” hex key, remove two screws and
lockwashers securing blower mounting bracket
to unit base. Remove blower, discard
lockwashers.

4.

Using Phillips screwdriver remove two screws
and flatwashers securing mounting bracket to
blower.

5.

Using 9/64” hex key, remove blower manifold
from blower.
