5.2.3 Restore Calibration Values
From the DVD:
1. Copy the following files from the DVD, overwriting the existing files:
- translations1 to the C: drive
- calib folder and detector folder to the D: drive
- GE Medical Systems\eXplore Utilities\ Protocols folder to C:\Program Files\GE Medical
Systems\Protocols folder
- GE Medical Systems\eXplore Utilities\ Parameters folder to C:\Program Files\GE Medical
Systems\Parameters folder
Once the files are restored, ensure the restored files are not "read-only":
2. Right-click on each restored file and folder.
3. Choose Properties from the drop-down menu.
4. Ensure the "Read-only" field is not checked off.
5.2.4 Acquisition Computer Replacement - Transfer Critical Data
The following describes how to move calibration and registry data from a Dell 650 acquisition
computer to the HP XW200, should the Dell 650 require replacement. The HP XW200 runs
Windows XP.
WARNING
Prior to performing the procedures below, ensure all registry and calibration data is backed up.
The new HP computer is completely configured except for the absence of the calibration data, and
the Frame Grabber and Blue Heat serial cards. The calibration data will be copied from the existing
Dell computer to the new HP computer. The HP computer also contains two files on the desktop
named
directories.reg and recon.reg .
COPY GEMS REGISTRY KEY FROM DELL TO HP
1. On the Dell’s Windows taskbar, click Start, choose Run... and type regedit .
2. Click the Ok button. A pop-up called “Registry Editor” appears.
3. On the left pane of the “Registry Editor”, navigate to the key
“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GEMS”.
Make sure GEMS is highlighted.
4. Click on File and choose Export… to open the Export Registry File window.
5. On the left-hand side of the Export Registry File window click on the Desktop Icon.
6. Type gems.reg in the File name field and click on the Save button.
7. Copy the new file called gems.reg to the HP’s desktop.
