8.2.10

Shutter Drive Motor

Verify that the shutter disk is clear of obstacles.

Access the

X-Ray and Motor Controller

software and press the

Start Shutter

button.

Verify that the shutter initializes.

If shutter is unable to initialize:

Verify connections on Micro Mo drive unit.

Verify voltage on connections on Micro Mo
Unit.

Verify connection to CSCU.

Verify connection on Motor (inside X-Ray
Source Shielded Housing).

Vary the exposure time and verify the shutter
moves accordingly. The shorter the exposure time, the faster the shutter should move.

Stop shutter, and verify that the shutter stops in home position

8.2.11

Rear Exhaust Fans

Visually inspect that fan is running and blowing
out.

Feel for any abnormal vibration.

Listen to verify that fan is not making extra noise
(grinding or clicking).

Clean the fan (with the system turned off) by
vacuuming the area.

8.2.12

Fan Under X-ray Source

Visually inspect that fan is running and blowing out.

Feel for any abnormal vibration.

Listen to verify that fan is not making extra noise (grinding or clicking).

If fan is not running, disconnect the fan and measure the pins on the input and verify a reading
of 12VDC. To measure the voltage, remove the left panel, and test at the terminal block.
