X-Ray Shield Removal / Replacement

INTRODUCTION

Shields must be removed to access the detector,
source and stage. Typically, back shield is
removed first.

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

X-ray shielding contains lead and lead
compounds, chemicals known (to the State of
California) to cause cancer and other reproductive
harm. Wear gloves when handling shielding and
wash hands after handling.
