The x value must eventually equal the centre of rotation in the registry (within 5 pixels). Open

Calibration Tools

(located in C:\Program Files\GE Medical Systems\eXplore

Utilities\Calibration\). Click on

Calib. Settings

tab. Click

File

, and choose

Read Registry Values

from the drop-down menu. The Centre of Rotation equals the value in Centre of Rotation1.
This positioning puts the ball in the centre of the detector.

To reach the correct x value:

Turn off the X-Ray Source.

Loosen the 2 screws on
the top of the Source and
move the Source using the
Source adjustment wheel.

This moves the Source
along the x-axis as shown
in the diagram.

Repeat steps 34 to 48 until
the x value equals the
same value that appears in
the registry (within 5
pixels). Use the Worksheet
to record values.

Once the ball is in the centre of the detector:

49. Tighten the screws on the top of the X-Ray Source.

50. Tightening the screws may change the value of the ball centre. Turn X-rays back on, and verify

the setting by repeating steps 34 to 48.
