17. Press the Recon button on the Reconstruction Utility window.
18. View the image in MicroView . Draw a line from the wire on the left side of the screen to the
wire on the top using the 1 and 2 keys, and note the angle displayed in the top left of the screen
in the Worksheet.
19. Exit MicroView .
20. Press the Advanced button on the Reconstruction Utility window and select the
Reconstruction tab.
21. Enter the approximate angle of the 4 wires noted above in the Angle field.
22. Record the existing air, water and HU calibration values in the Worksheet. Enter -1 (minus one)
values for each field.
23. Select Short Scan . This looks at the first 200 views instead of all 360 views. It will emphasize
any errors in calibration. Click OK.
24. Press the Recon button in the Reconstruction Utility window.
25. View the image in MicroView upon completion. The 4 wires should appear "square" to the
screen.
26. Select a region of interest that encompasses all 4 wires using the 7 and 8 keys in MicroView .
27. Select File>Save crop coordinates.
28. Exit MicroView .
29. Click the Load Crop button on the Reconstruction Utility window.
30. Press the Recon button. View the image in MicroView and verify the image is cropped
properly, then exit MicroView .
31. Change the Z-Size field on the Reconstruction Utility screen to 1 .
