Shutter Control Assembly Removal / Replacement

INTRODUCTION

The shutter control assembly. can be removed with the case on, through the door and with the left
panel removed.

TOOL LIST

Standard toolkit

SUPPLIES

None

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

X-ray shielding contains lead and lead compounds, chemicals known (to the State of California) to
cause cancer and other reproductive harm. Wear gloves when handling shielding and wash hands
after handling.

PRECONDITIONS

•

Machine locked out. See 6.1.2 for details.

•

Left access panel removed. See 6.1.2 for details.

REMOVE

1.

Remove four cables to shutter control assembly – two above, two below.

2.

Using 11/32” socket, remove nut and green ground wire from (long screw) at rear of control
assembly.

3.

Using 9/64” hex key remove four screws
securing shutter control to bracket.

REPLACE

1.

Reverse of removal.

2.

Line up control assembly so that the sensor is
aligned with the centre of the shutter and will
not interfere with rotating shutter.
