28. Add the 2 x values together and then divide by 2. This value is the ball’s geometric centre.
Make note of this value in the Worksheet.
This value should be close to the centre of rotation in the registry. Open Calibration Tools
(located in C:\Program Files\GE Medical Systems\eXplore Utilities\Calibration\). Click on Calb.
settings tab. Click File, and choose Read Registry Values from the drop-down menu. The
Centre of Rotation equals the value in Centre of Rotation1.
29. Use the X-Ray and Motor Controller’s
Magnification setting to move the ball toward the X-
Ray Source 140mm.
30. Capture the image calling the file capture .
31. Load the corrected and unwarped image into
MicroView .
32. Find the geometric centre of the ball at the X-Ray
Source end by making note of the x values on the
outer most left and right side of the ball and dividing
this value by 2. Note values in the Worksheet.
Note: This value must eventually equal the ball’s geometric centre at the detector end, plus or minus
1 pixel.
IF NOT , adjust the geometric centre values until they are within 1 pixel of each other as follows:
a. Turn off the X-Ray Source.
b. Loosen the 4 stage retaining bolts.
c. Manually
adjust the
stage using the
stage’s
adjustment
wheel (see
following
Note).
This moves the
stage
perpendicular
to the rail as
shown here in
the diagram.
d. Continue to
determine the
value of the
ball’s
geometric
centre at both
the detector
end and the X-Ray Source end - manually adjusting the stage’s adjustment wheel in
between - until the values are equal, plus or minus 1 pixel.
