Verify Stage Alignment

VERIFY STAGE TILT (FRONT-TO-BACK MOVEMENT):

Turn off x-rays and adjust the X,Y Centring Ball tool so that the bebes are facing the detector.

Turn x-rays back on and wait a few minutes for the Source to stabilize.

Move the stage (using

X-Ray and Motor Controller

) 120mm back toward the detector.

Access

Fluoro

. and press

to display the mouse position window.

Rotate the tool until the top bebe appears in the centre of the x axis of the
screen.

Adjust the elevation using the

X-Ray and Motor Controller

program so

that the top bebe moves downward and appears within 200 pixels of the
bottom of the screen.

Capture an image in

Fluoro

and name it

shim1.

Adjust the elevation, so that the top bebe moves upward and appears within 200 pixels of the
top of the screen (approximately 50mm).

Capture an image in

Fluoro

and name it

shim2

10. Correct the Shim1 file and unwarp it (using Transform1).

11. Load the corrected and unwarped file into

MicroView

12. Use the Worksheet and make a note of the x value of the centre of the bebe using

MicroView’s

Region Grow tool.
