Rotary Stage Removal / Replacement

INTRODUCTION

The rotary stage is secured to the gear box slide
spacer with four screws and two dowels. It pivots
on the dowels for calibration and is secured by the
screws.

PRECONDITIONS

•

Machine locked out. See 6.1.1 for details.

•

Left access panel removed. See 6.1.2 for details.

REMOVE

1.

Using 7/64” hex key, remove equalization support bracket from top of stage.

2.

Use 9/64” t-handle allen wrench, remove screw from front of bracket.

3.

Cut cable ties securing two cables to rotary stage. Disconnect cables to rotary stage.

4.

Using 5/32” hex key, remove four screws and
lockwashers from back of rotary stage.
Discard lockwashers.
