Horizontal Reference Scale
The half-width VSD has the same range as the ND except when the selected ND
range is less than 5NM, during which the half-width VSD range remains at 5NM.
The full-width VSD has two times the range of the ND, ranging from 10NM to
1280NM. The full-width VSD range remains at 10NM when the ND range is
below 5NM.
