Upgrade the S8300
Issue 10.2 May 2007
721
Setting the Time, Date, and Time Zone
To set the Time, Date, and Time Zone:
1. Under Server click
Server Date/Time
.
Server Date/Time Window
2. Set the media server's time close enough to the Network Time Server’s (NTS's) time, date,
and time zone that synchronization can occur (within about 5 minutes).
!
CAUTION:
CAUTION:
If you are installing an LSP, you must set the time of the LSP to the same time
zone as the primary controller even if the LSP is physically located in a different
time zone.
Configuring network parameters
Note:
Note:
For this procedure, you must have the host name, subnet mask, and IP address
of the S8300, and the IP address of the default gateway.
You must configure the network parameters on the S8300 before restoring the backup files.
These network parameters are necessary to allow the media server to reach the FTP backup
server over the network.
