Combiner Type ← Combiner Configuration
Defines how the generated signals are combined.
"External
(Port)"
Use the signals of the test ports and combine them externally (see
graphic above).
With this configuration, the two-tone signal is available at the output
of the combiner. This allows you to measure intermodulation products
at the DUT output, but not at the DUT input.
"External
(Direct
Access)"
Use the signal from the source out (direct access) of the lower tone
port and the signal from the upper tone port, combine them externally,
and feed the combined signal to the source in (direct access) of the
lower tone port:
With this configuration, the two-tone signal is available at test port 1.
The intermodulation quantities can be measured at the DUT input or
at the DUT output.
