IP Interface Commands 

 

 

disable ipif 

Purpose 

Used  to  disable  an  IP  interface  on  the 
switch. 

Syntax 

disable ipif {<ipif_name>/all} 

Description 

This  command,  along  with  the  enable  ipif 
command  above,  allows  you  to  enable  or 
disable an IP interface on the switch without 
changing its configuration. 

Parameters 

<ipif_name> 

−

  The  name  of  the  IP  interface 

you want to disable. 

all 

−

  Specifies  that  all  IP  interfaces 

configured on the switch will be disabled. 

Restrictions 

Only  administrator-level  users  can  issue 
this command.
