* Indoor unit has two kinds of heights.(Large unit=319mm, Small unit=256mm)
When attaching the side panel insulator to the small unit, attach it after cutting along its perforations of the
parts <1> to <5>
1. Align the slits of the side panel insulators <1> to <4> with the hanger, and attach the parts to the side panels of
the indoor unit. (Fig. 1 - 1 1 - 1 - 1 -9 )
2. Now attach the side panel insulator <5> to the side panel of the indoor unit. (Fig. 1 - 1

3. Align the side panel insulator <6> with the piping cover, and attach the part. (Fig. 1 - 1

4. Attach the ceiling insulators <7> to <9> in such a way that no gaps are left. (Fig. 1- 1 1 - 1 - 1 -10 )
Do the following procedures after installing the indoor unit.

■ Usage precautions
• Install this air-flow blocking kit before proceeding to install the indoor unit.
• Bear in mind when using the air-flow blocking kit that, depending on the air blocking pattern, it will not be possible to use the
“nanoe” function.
• If use of any separately sold parts is being considered, consult the catalogs, equipment design documents, etc. since some
restrictions apply to how the separately sold parts can be used in combination.
• Keep these installation instructions in a safe place together with the operating instructions of the indoor unit.
■ The installation work should be entrusted to the dealer or the store where the
kit was purchased or to a specialized contractor, and the kit must be installed
correctly using only the specified parts without fail.
(Failure to follow these instructions may cause the unit to fall down and/or water to leak.)
■ The kit must be installed correctly in a location which is strong enough to bear
the weight of all the parts.
(Failure to follow this instruction may result in injuries caused by the unit falling down.)
■ The parts specified by Panasonic must be used as the accessory parts.
(Failure to use the specified parts may cause the unit to fall down and/or water to leak.)
■ The kit must not be installed in a location where flammable gases may leak
in the area around it.
(Failure t o f ollow t hi s instruction may c ause ignition i f gas should leak and accumula te in t he area around
t he unit. )

<1> On T able 1-11-1-1-2, check out the “Setting No.”
that corresponds to the intended application and
the optional parts to be used.
<2> Open the cover of the electrical parts box, and
check the indoor unit control PC B .

<3> Select the Setting No. which was checked out
on T able 1-11-1-1-2, and change the positions of
the D IP switche s on the indoor unit control PC B.

<1> Hold down the + + buttons together for at least 4 seconds.
The maintenance function screen is displayed.
<2> Use the / buttons to select the displ a y and the / buttons to
select the page.
Select “8.Detailed settings” and press the button.
The [Detailed settings screen] appears.
Using the / buttons, select the unit N o.
<3> Using the / buttons, select the item c ode.
Using the / buttons, change the item code to “5D.”
<4> Using the / buttons, select the setting data.
Using the buttons, change the sett i ng data to the value checked out
on T able 1-11-1-1-2, and press the button.
<5> After selecting the unit No. using the / buttons, press the button.
The [Detailed settings completion screen] appears.
Select “ Y es” , and press the
<1> Hold down the + + buttons togeth e r for at least 4 seconds.
<2> Each time the button is pressed, the numbers of the indoor units under group
control are displayed in sequence.
The fan motor of only the indoor unit that has been selected will run.
<3> Specify item code “5d” using the temperature set t ing / buttons.
<4> Change the setting data using the hour buttons. The setting data details
are as given on T able 1-11-1-1-2 .
<5> Press the button. (OK if the display changes from flashing to lighted.)
<6> Press the button. The normal stop status is established.
Go to step <2> to change the selected indoor unit.
<7> Press the button. The normal stop status is established.
