Low-Side Switch

27.2.2.1 Application Requirement for Low-Side Switch in PWM Mode

The low-side switch is not designed, to handle the amount of energy, which is generated by switching an
inductive load in PWM Mode. Therefore an external free wheeling diode is required to absorb the generated
energy. The picture below shows the possible application diagram for this case.
