Parameterisation
Mounting kit
No parameterisation required
Gear
–
Parameterisation is not required for Festo gear units.
–
The transmission ratio with numerator (input variable) and denominat-
or (output variable) must be specified when selecting user-defined
gear units.
Example: with a transmission ratio of 3:1, there are 3 revolutions on
the gear unit input
è
and 1 revolution on the gear unit output.

Setting application data
The panel is opened with the "Application data" button.
"Application data"
The application load is set, and the total load is displayed in this parameter group.
"Rotation polarity"
The direction of rotation is displayed and set in this parameter group.
The display is dependent on the selected axis type and selected mounting kit:
–
Toothed belt axis
–
Spindle axis without parallel add-on kit
–
Spindle axis with parallel add-on kit
–
Rotative axis
The installation position of the motor can be selected via the interactive graphic.
If the mouse cursor is moved over a possible installation position, it is outlined in blue. By clicking on
the required installation position, it is selected and highlighted in blue.
Depending on the installation position, the direction of rotation is shown by an arrow and a plus and
minus symbol.
The direction of rotation can be reversed by clicking on the arrow or the checkbox underneath the
interactive graphic.
Toothed belt axis
The following parameters can be set if a toothed belt axis has been selected:
