3.2.2.7. Configuring and testing detection zone parameters of objects counter
VideoNet
system enables to configure parameters separately for each selected
in preset detection zone of objects counter. To set up detection zones use detection
setup buttons placed under demonstrational display (see
3.2.2.1
) and controls
on the objects counter setup panel (see
picture 3.2.2-10
).

Description
This control enables to set in percentage terms alarm level of
contrast between object and background. The more contrast level,
the more contrast between object and background must be for
camera-detector to count the object.
This control enables to set in conventional units from 1 to 15 object
minimum size, which can be counted. All objects with size, which
is less, than specified, won’t be detected.
This control enables to set in conventional units from 1 to 15 object
maximum size, which can be counted. All objects with size, which
is more, than specified, won’t be detected.
These controls enable to set maximum and minimum aspect ratio
between object width and height. If an object ratio differs from a
specified one, such an object won’t be counted.
Please, be aware that configuring detection parameters is performed
experimentally. That’s why multiple repetition of steps of the algorithm, given below,
is required. For convenience it is recommended to configure
objects counter
parameters in preset testing mode.
To configure preset for objects counter:
1. Select camera-detector on the
Detection
panel.
Attention!
Objects counter working efficiency in many respects depends on
detection parameters configuring. That’s why it’s so important to be able to
configure detection zones parameters properly.
