Controlling the system using system controller is described in
4.4
section.
2. Set up access rights of this user to system functions and devices:
a. If necessary specify a group, in which you want to include this user (see
3.6.2.2
section). In this case he will has all the rights, which memebers of this group have.
b. On «Policies» page include the user into list of users for necessary policies (see
3.6.2.3
section).
Attention!
It is not recommended to switch «
Automatic Log
On
» option for the user account on the «Security» tab (see
3.6.2.4
section).
c. If necessary configure user access rights to devices: cameras, microphones and
Pan Tilt controllers (see
3.6.2.5
section).

Assing right of controlling system controlelr to the user (see
3.6.2.5
section).
3. Check correctness of system controller settings and
VideoNet
configuration settings.
To do that,:
a. Apply changes, made in
VideoNet
configuration (click
Apply
button on the main
toolbar).
b. Log off
VideoNet
system (select
Control->Log off
item in the main menu).
c. Switch on the system controller.
4. Automatic authorization of the user from system controller will be performed. Also
automatic log on the
VideoNet
system under user «650» will be performed and the
corresponding event of «Successes audit» type will appear in the
Event Log
.
• Manual authorization
1. Specify user, under which you want to log on the system from system controller. For
example, if you want to log on under user «650», then make sure that the user is added
to users list of system controller (refer to system controller operating manual) and add
user with name «650» into
VideoNet
configuration (see
3.6.2.1
section). Pay attention
that passwords of the user for access to system controller and for access to
VideoNet
can differ.
2. Go though the
steps 2-3
of the previous algorithm.
3. Enter user name on the system controller keyboard (in our example «650») and password.
Authorization of the user from system controller and log on the
VideoNet
system will be
performed. Open the
Event Log
and make sure that there is event of «Successes audit»
type and information about log on the system of the user with the name «650».
