3.3.5. Examples of working with Screen panel
Example 1
. Creating and configuring monitor modes.
It’s necessary:
To create 4 monitor modes, 16 video windows each (4
х
4).
1. To create new monitor mode, go through the
steps
1-6
of the algorithm (1)
from
3.3.2.3
section.
2. When the
step 7
select
Create empty mode
option. Click
N
EXT
.
3. Click
F
INISH
. Created
mode
will appear on the demonstrational display of the
Monitor modes
tab.
Now you can start the created
monitor mode
parameters configuring: you can
assign a
unique number
and an icon to it.
4. Select the created
mode
in the list and right-click on it to open the context
menu.
5. Select
Properties
item.
Mode Properties
dialogue box opens.
6. Specify a unique mode
number
on the
General
tab, if necessary. Just select
the corresponding check-box and enter a number. For quick switching to this
mode use hotkeys
C
TRL
+F
UNCKEYS
(For example,
C
TRL
+F1
).
7. Open
Icon
tab. Select an
icon
for the created mode. This icon will be displayed
near mode name on the
mode panel
(For example,
).
8. Click
OK
Now you can start adding new
windows
and setting up their position.
9. Select the created
mode
in the list.
10. Click arrow button near
button on the
Monitor modes
tab.
11. Select
Window...
item from the popup list.
12. The
Add windows wizard
opens. Click

EXT
.

Adding windows
dialogue box opens. Select
Create new windows
option.
Click

New windows
dialogue box opens. Select
background window
in the drop-
down list and specify the number of
windows
of that type – 1. Click

to complete working with the wizard.
Background window
will
appear on the demonstrational display.
16. Select the
background window
by left-clicking it. The window will be
highlighted with yellow.
17. Roll mouse cursor over one of the sides or corners of the window and,
holding left mouse button, extend the
window
to the entire screen.
18. Go through the
steps 9-15
of this algorithm to add
status panel
and
mode
panel
, having selected status panel and mode panel at the
step 14
.
19. Holding left mouse button, drag
status panel
and
mode panel
to desired
place on the screen (within the limits of the
background window
).
20. Go through the
steps 9-13
of this algorithm to add video windows. When the
step 14
select
video window
in the drop-down list and specify the number of
windows
of that type – 16. Click
N
EXT
. Click
F
INISH
.
Now it’s necessary to set up
windows
position on the screen and change their
dimensions.
