Among the cards with
Cx2388
х
chip are the following cards (see the table in the
bedinning of

section):

. Installing cards into computer,
location of inputs on them, examples of connecting cameras, microphones, relays
and sensors are described in the
Installation manual
.
After installing video/audio capture card into computer and connecting executive
devices to it, it is necessary to add the card into system configuration and to
connect corresponding executive devices (cameras and microphones, which are
physically connected to video and audio inputs of the card) in the
device tree
.
Attention!
Simultaneous connection of colour and black-white cameras to
one
CX2388x
device is not supported.
You can add video/audio capture card into the system configuration using the
Add
device wizard
(see
3.1.2.2
section). During adding cards can be detected by
means of
automatic
device search. In the
device tree
video/audio capture card is
displayed as a single device.
In the
device tree
(when viewed
by types
and
by connections
) video/audio capture
cards are displayed:
• in
video capture devices
section;
For each card in this section video inputs are displayed. Numeration of video
inputs is shown in the
Installation manual
.
• in
audio capture devices
section;
For each card in this section audio inputs are displayed.
• in
sensors controllers
section (if the card is sensors controller, see the tables in
the
Installation manual

section);
• in
relay outputs controllers
section (if the card is relay outputs controller, see the
tables in the
Installation manual
,

section).
After adding a card it is necessary to configure its properties (see the algorithm of
3.1.2.4
section). You can set up cards properties on
General
,
Card
,
Devices
,
Sensors
and
Relay outputs
tabs. Configuring device parameters on the
General
tab is described in
3.1.2.4
section. Configuring card parameters on the
Card
,
Sensors
and
Relay outputs
tabs is similar to configuring parameters for cards
with
Bt8xx
chip (see
• Video/audio capture cards with Bt8xx chips
section).
Devices tab
On the
Devices
tab you
can set up video and
audio digital capture
parameters for each of
CX2388x
devices, which
are the part of a card. To
do that, use
D
EVICE
buttons on the tab,
corresponding to each of
CX2388x
devices on the
card. The number of
CX2388x
devices on the
card can be different.
