To add users or groups for one of access rights (1):
1. Select
access right
, which you want to assign to
users
or
groups
, on the
Policy
tab.

dialogue box appears.
Use this policy to assign users the right to unprotect records in the
Player. Records unprotecting is described in
4.1.1.9
section.
Attention!
If you want a user to have records unprotection right,
you should also add the user to
“View player records”
policy list.
Use this policy to assign users the right to delete records in the
Player. Records deleting is described in
4.1.1.8
section.
Attention!
If you want a user to have records deletion right, you
should also add the user to
“View player records”
policy list.
Use this policy to define those users, you want to assign the right of
remote adding computer to the system configuration to.
Use this policy if you want to assign users the right to change quality
of translation for remote cameras in video window.
If a user isn’t added to the list of users for this policy, then he won’t be
able to change quality of translation for remote cameras. Using of this
policy helps to avoid accidental or intentional changing of network
translation quality.
Use this policy if you want to assign users the right to view and
control long-term operations in the
long-term operations window
.
If a user isn’t added to the list of users for this policy, then he will be
able to view and control only the processes, launched by him.
Monitoring and controlling long-term operations is described in
4.1.7
section.
Use this policy if you want to assign users the right to work with
VideoNet
system using web access, that is to connect to
VideoNet
web server
from pocket computer (PDA) or personal computer without
necessity to install any additional software to this computer. The list
of users for this policy can be configured only in the configuration of
the computer, which is
VideoNet web server
. At that for correct
working using web access, name and password of such users
must contain only ciphers and Roman letters. Adding users is described
in
3.6.2.1
section.
Besides you should add outcoming ports for working through web-
access on the
Web
tab of the
Network
configuration page. Adding
outcoming ports on the

section.
