After having added
matrix switcher
into system configuration proceed to connecting
Pan Tilt devices. As already mentioned above, for correct work of
VideoNet
system
with
matrix switcher
it is necessary to carry out the following:
• connect Pan Tilt cameras to
matrix switcher
video inputs;
• connect Pan Tilt cameras to video inputs of a video capture device;
• add
video capture devices
and
cameras
into system configuration and specify the
way of their connection to each other.
Attention!
It is necessary to add
Pan Tilt controller through external device
into
configuration and to connect it to that dome
camera
, which will be controlled by it. In
more detail controller parameters setup is described in the next section (see
3.1.2.10
section).

Connection tab
On the
Connection
tab
you should select
control protocol
in
the drop-down list and
specify
COM-port
, to
which the
cameras
controlling device
is
connected.
As already mentioned
above, for correct
VideoNet
working with
matrix switcher
it is
necessary to free at
last one
control
channel
.
VideoNet
recognizes free
monitor outputs
of
matrix switcher
as
free channels
(that is the
outputs, which will be used by no external devices and will be intended only for
work with
VideoNet
system).
In
Using control outputs
field you should specify the
matrix switcher
outputs that
will be used by the system. For that add to the
outputs list
those
outputs
, numbers
of which correspond to the numbers of free monitor
outputs
on the
matrix switcher
board. These are the
outputs
,
VideoNet
system will work with.
In
Automatically set output free after inactivity time-out
filed specify time interval
for the system to free an
output
, if it is not used by operator for Pan Tilt control.
