All parameters selected in a wizard by user are saved in the system, so when
you start
Clip creation wizard
next time they will be set as a default.
• Creating audio/video clip on CD/DVD
VideoNet
system allows you to create
clips
from previously recorded video and
audio data and to save them on hard drives or on removable media – CD or DVD.
VideoNet
system supports the following types of media:
• CD-R, 12 cm, 650/700MB, 8cm, 210MB
• CD-RW, 12 cm, 650/700MB, 8cm, 210MB
• DVD-R, 12 cm, 4.7GB, 8cm 1.4GB
• DVD-RW, 12 cm, 4.7GB, 8cm, 1.4GB
• DVD+R, 12 cm, 4.7GB
• DVD+R DL (double layer), 12cm, 8.5GB
• DVD+RW, 12 cm, 4.7GB
• DVD+R, 8cm, 1.4GB
• DVD+RW, 8cm, 1.4GB
Some of the (old) CD/DVD drives performs hardware padding: when recording
small amounts of data, boundary of the first section automatically moves to the
value of 64, 128 or more Mb. This is functional feature of some drives models.
To create audio/video clip on CD/DVD:
1. Go through the
steps 1-9
of the algorithm (1), if you want to create video clip on
the removable media. If you want to create audio clip, go through the
steps 1-
8
of the algorithm (2).
2. At the
step 4
of the algorithm (1) for video clip and
the step 4
of the algorithm (2)
for the audio clip specify path to the CD or DVD recorder.
Creating of a clip at removable media begins. The process of recording to
removable media in the
VideoNet
system is as follows. The system
automatically estimates amount of disk space at CD/DVD and performs
recording of avi/wav files (each of them has size not more than 1 GB) so , that
after recording there is about 50 Mb of free space at the disk. During that,
VideoNet
doesn’t finalize disks after recording, thereby there is possibility of
subsequent recording to them by other programs or repeated export using
VideoNet
.
VideoNet
doesn’t format disks, containing some data (but not
finalized), i.e. doesn’t remove data from them.
Attention!
To record CD/DVD it is necessary that the free disk space of the
Windows temp folder will not be less then size of the recorded disk.
If recording to the CD/DVD can not be performed (disk is not supported by
drive, disk is not recordable, session limit on the disk is reached, error during
writing to disk, etc.), system will automatically «eject disk», inform user and
pause work untill the moment when the user replaces disk.
