3. Sound recording from the
microphone
starts.
Recording will be performed according to
emergency recording
parameters
(
volume
for recording,
record type
, record quality etc.). Configuring
emergency
recording
parameters is performed by system administrator on the
Recording
panel, refer to chapter
3.5
).
You can simultaneously record sound from several microphones, to do that you
should pass through the steps of the previous algorithm for the other microphones.
You can simultaneously translate and record sound from one or several
microphones.
If translation recording button near microphone, from which you want to
record sound, is unavailable, the reasons can be as follows:
• you have no right to translate sound from this microphone. Refer to system
administrator.
• there is no volume for recording in your configuration nd the system has no
place to save audio information to. Creating and configuring volumes is
performed by system administrator on the
Recording
panel (refer to chapter
3.5
).
If after recording start no record fragment appears on the track of the player,
then possibly there is no connection with the computer, into the configuration
of which the microphone is added. After restoration of connection recording
by microphone resumes.
If after selecting microphone, connecting to IP-camera, for recording you hear
no sound recording starts by this microphone, then possibly the system failured
to find out a codec, used by the microphone for audio stream decompression.
At that the corresponding message with «error» type will be added into the
Event Log.

Beside emergency recording from microphones, you can record sound according to
system schedule. Configuring system schedule and creating recording and pre-recording
functions are performed by system administrator. For more information about recording
and pre-recording functions configuring refer to chapter
3.5

4.1.2.3. Sound playback from microphone
Playback of sound from microphones and playback controlling is performed in the
player of
VideoNet
system (refer to
4.1.1.5
section). Selection of micropones for
playback and controlling playback lists is described in
4.1.1.2
section
.
If during audio record playback from microphone, connecting to IP-camera,
you hear monotonous sound signal, consisting from periodic short low-
frequency discontinuous signals, the reasons can be as follows:
• there were no network connection with IP-camera, to which the microphone
was connected, during audio recording by this microphone;
• IP-camera, to which the microphone was connected, had no line supply
during audio recording by this microphone.
