5. Specify, whether it is necessary to
use volume in this configuration
. To do
that, select the corresponding check-box.
If this check-box is not selected, the
volume
, you are importing, will not be
used by the system for information recording.
6. Specify, whether it is necessary to
enable the recycle recording for the
volume
. To do that, select the corresponding check-box.
If this check-box is not selected, no
recycle recording
will be performed for

, you are importing. Click

7. Specify the path to a
volume master-component
file (the extension of
master-
file
component
should be .vnsd). As it was said above, the
volume
consists
of one or several
components
, one of which is a
master-component
.
Master-
component
contains general information about
volume
parameters; in case
of
master-component
loss, it will be impossible to import the
volume
.
Click

EXT
, the system will try to find the other components of the imported
volume
(if they exist).
8. In case, the system is unable to find all
volume components
, the wizard
opens

9. Specify path to the component-file, which was not found by the system, and

button.

to complete working with the wizard. The imported
volume
will
appear in the
Volumes
tab tree together with all its
components
.
You can import an unlimited number of
volumes
to a configuration. To add one
more
volume
to a system configuration, it is necessary to go through the
steps 1-

of the previous algorithm.
Attention!
Volume, to which data were archived, can’t be added into
configuration of
VideoNet
system, with version lower than
vn80sp5
.
Attention!
For Windows XP the total capacity of all used
volumes must not exceed 2 terabytes. For working with volumes with a size
more than 2 terabytes it’s necessary to install Windows Server 2003 on your
computer.
