About this Manual
Motors used must be suitable for Inverter duty.
NOTE
Do not attempt to control motors whose rated current is less than 25% of the inverter rated current. Poor motor control or Autotune
problems may occur if you do.
This manual is intended for use by the installer, user and programmer of the AC30 series of inverters. It assumes a reasonable level of
understanding in these three disciplines.
NOTE
Please read all Safety information before proceeding with the installation and operation of this unit.
It is important that you pass this manual on to any new user of this unit.
How the Manual is Organised
This Engineering Reference manual is organised into chapters, indicated by the numbering on the edge of each page. If the manual is to be
printed it is designed so that it should be printed double-sided using the short-edge for binding.
Information for all AC30 units is included (AC30V frames D, E, F, G, H, J & K, AC30P & AC30D), which are collectively referred to as “the
Inverter” or “drive” throughout the manual.
Product coding: Any “x” within a product code indicates there are variants, see page F-1 Understanding the Product Code.
Any text placed in a highlighted area as this sample shows, only refers to the AC30P and AC30D.
Parker Hannifin Manufacturing Limited is referred to as “Parker” throughout the manual.
The manual is more detailed than the relevant QuickStart manual, and so is of use to the unfamiliar as well as the high-end user.
