Secure adjusting screw

and remove assembly from
main control valve housing.

Remove O’-ring

and discard.

Withdraw outer sleeve

from main control valve
housing.

Remove sleeve

Remove spring

Note:
Pilot seat

is press fitted into the relief valve body

Do not attempt to remove it.

Remove adjusting screw

with locknut

from housing

Remove ‘O’-ring

and discard.

Remove adjustment screw housing

with locknut

from relief valve body

Remove spring seat

, spring

and poppet

from
housing

Cleaning, Inspection
1
Clean all components in clean oil and dry with
compressed air.

Check that the seat surfaces on the end of the poppet

and seating

are defect free and contact surfaces
are uniform.

Check that the poppet sleeve

and outer sleeve

move smoothly and freely.

Check springs
8
and
13
have no defects, deformation
or wear.
5
Check that there is no foreign matter blocking orifices in
the main poppet or pilot seat.

Remove any minor defects by lapping.
7
Renew the relief valve if any damaged or badly worn
parts are found.
