The following description is for that part of the neutral
circuit supplied from pump

. The neutral circuit supplied

operates in a similar way.
Oil from pump
P1
to the inlet port

neutral gallery

and returns to tank via
the foot release valve section

When no spools are operated a balance of forces acting on
spool

causes it to move to the right. This allows a
pressure signal (based on neutral circuit pressure) to be sent
via port

to the pump controller, which reduces pump
output to a minimum.
