5.3 Controller Recovery
If the Controller becomes inoperable, use the procedures described in this section to
recover.
Controller Backup is recommended for easy recovery of the Controller operation. For
details of Controller Backup, refer to
Maintenance 4. Backup and Restore
.
The following two conditions describe the Controller error status after turning on
the Controller.
Condition A
The Controller automatically changes to Recovery mode and the
seven-segment LED blinks
. You are able to communicate
with the development PC though the Controller does not operate properly.
Condition B
The Controller seven-segment LED does not blink.
Cannot communicate with the Controller using the development PC.
Countermeasure for the error status is as follows.
Condition A
Follow the Firmware Initialization Procedure in section 5.4 to initialize the
firmware.
Condition B
Execute the following steps:
(1)
Turn OFF the Controller.
(2)
Push the trigger button located on the front side of the Controller and
while holding the button in, turn ON the Controller. Continue to
hold in the trigger button for 30 seconds. This will cause the
Controller to start in Recovery mode.
(3)
Make sure that the seven-segment LED blinks
.
(4)
Follow the procedure in
5.4 Firmware Initialization Procedure
from
step (3) to initialize the firmware.
