DETAILED STEPS
Purpose Command or Action
Enables privileged EXEC mode. Enter your password if prompted. enable Step 1
Example:
Switch> enable
Enters the global configuration mode.
configure terminal
Example:
Switch#
configure terminal
Step 2
Enables Bridge Assurance on all network ports on the switch. spanning-tree bridge assurance Step 3
Example:
Switch(config)# spanning-tree bridge
assurance
Bridge Assurance is enabled by default.
Use the no version of the command to disable the feature.
Disabling Bridge Assurance causes all configured network ports
to behave as normal spanning tree ports.
Returns to privileged EXEC mode. end
Example:
Switch(config)# end
Step 4
Displays spanning tree information and shows if Bridge Assurance
is enabled. show spanning-tree summary
Example:
Switch# show spanning-tree summary
