macdomain-check - Set the interval between periodic load balance checks
across-MAC-domain-check - Set the interval between the checks for load balancing across MAC domains
Other global load balancing attributes related to periodic load balancing include:
downstream-start-threshold - Percent of load on DS channels before load balancing is invoked (applies only if method
is utilization).
upstream-start-threshold - Percent of load on US channels before load balancing is invoked (applies only if method is
utilization)..
failed-list exclude-count - The number of failures to a given destination (channel pair or channel set) before a CM is
excluded from load balancing.
failed-list timeout - Timeout in hours to remove an entry from the failed list. (Note that zero on the list indicates
indefinitely.)
utilization-modems-to-check - Configure the number of CMs to check for high utilization at each macdomain-check-
interval.
exclude - Exclude devices (on an OUI basis) from being load balanced
The following global load balancing attributes are related to Receive Channel Set/Transmit Channel Set (RCS/TCS) channel
selection and load balancing of bonded modems using Dynamic Load Balancing (DBC):
rcs-load-balance - Globally control the enabling of registration RCS load balancing.
tcs-load-balance - Globally control the enabling of registration TCS load balancing.
tcs-move-us-primary - Allow primary US channel of bonded CM to be moved with registration TCS load balancing.
dbc-move-us-primary - Allow primary US channel of bonded CM to be moved with periodic DBC load balancing.
Load Balance Thresholds
There are several different thresholds in load balancing. The rule threshold defines how much of a difference between the
highest and least loaded channels is acceptable. When the load balancing method is set to utilization, one can clearly see
when the rule threshold (a percentage) is exceeded because the load on each channel is a percentage. However, when the
load balancing method is set to modem, it's not as obvious because the DS load and US load for each channel is the count
of the modems on each channel, not a percentage. To determine if the rule threshold is exceeded, the rule threshold is
