Purpose
Runs diagnostics on the specified module.
Default Access Level

configure diag <0-20> [factory | isolate | quick] [bist <> | bus <> | checksum <> | datapath noise |
debug <> | device <> | function {ersm | led} | loopback <> | memory <> | monitor <> | parity <> |

Information
The module must be taken out of service before you use this command.
The factory, isolate, and quick parameters can be used in conjunction with other parameters (except previous), but not with
each other.
Parameters
<0-20>
The slot number upon which to run the diagnostics.
factory
Runs the "factory" diagnostics. This will impact service, depending upon your configuration.
isolate
Runs a "verbose" diagnostic to isolate problems. ARRIS recommends using one of the secondary parameters with this option.
quick
Runs a brief diagnostic.
bist <>
Runs built-in self-tests for a specific component. Type configure diag <0-20> bist ? to list available components.
bus <>
Tests a specific bus (communication system). Type configure diag <0-20> bus ? to list available buses.
checksum <>
Tests a specific EEPROM (non-volatile memory) component. Type configure diag <0-20> checksum ? to list available EEPROMs.
datapath noise
Tests the connection between devices, including the power level on upstream and downstream channels.
debug <>
Provides additional information in a particular area or enables specific testing behavior. Type configure diag <0-20> debug ? to
list available options.
device <>
Narrows testing to a specific component. Type configure diag <0-20> device ? to list available devices.
