The US CAM or the entire system is in any overload condition
The CM has an active Dynamic Services transaction at the time that the AC Power Loss CM-STATUS message is
received.
Power Restore Reports
Once the C4/c CMTS receives an AC Power Restored report from a CM, the C4/c CMTS treats the CM similarly to when the
CM first registers. This includes but is not limited to:
New channel set and assignments are determined as in normal bonded modem registration
Transmit power is recalculated
MIBs are updated and counts adjusted
The C4/c CMTS will not initiate the AC Power Recovery function if any of the following apply:
The CM has an active voice call
The US CAM or the entire system is in any overload condition
The CM has an active Dynamic Services transaction at the time that the AC Power Restored CM-STATUS message is
received.
Note: If the DS or US topology is changed on the C4/c CMTS after the modems are registered, any modem associated with
the modified fiber node that experienced an AC power loss or recovery will remain in 1x1 mode until the modem is reset.
CM-STATUS Message
Not all CMs with batteries support the AC Power Loss and AC Power Restored CM-STATUS messages. For these CMs, no
CM-STATUS messages are sent to the C4/c CMTS informing it of the CM’s AC Power status.
