Before configuring the modules, remaining equipment, and interfaces, configure the hostname and syslog server for your
C4/c CMTS.
Configure a Host Name
The host name is used in command prompts and system messages. Configure a hostname for the C4/c CMTS using the
following command:
configure hostname <name>
where name is a user-defined host name between 1 and 32 characters in length.
