The basis for creating the example shown above is the list of commands that pertain to the previous figure plus the
following commands:
configure cable spectrum-group trigger 40 time Sat 18:00:00
configure cable spectrum-group trigger 50 time Sat 23:00:00
configure cable spectrum-group 5 state 1 trigger 40 next-state 2
configure cable spectrum-group 5 state 2 trigger 50 next-state 1
The state diagram above can be represented by the state table from earlier. The Time-of-Day triggers specify not only the
time of day, but also the unique day of the week when the trigger should occur. You can also configure the trigger to occur
daily (all seven days of the week).

Example to Configure a Sample Upstream Agility Application
This simple sample configuration will change the upstream modulation from 16-QAM to QPSK when the SNR falls below 25
dB and back to 16-QAM when the SNR improves to 35 dB.
To Configure a Sample Upstream Agility Application
1.
Define the two modulation profiles to be used in this example:
configure cable modulation-profile 2 tdma qpsk
configure cable modulation-profile 3 tdma qam-16
2.
Define the two triggers to be used in this example:
configure cable spectrum-group trigger 1 improvement fec_err 2 ufec_err 2 SNR 350
configure cable spectrum-group trigger 2 degradation fec_err 0 ufec_err 0 SNR 250
3.
Configure spectrum group 1:
