Description
Command
Use the [no] option to remove an
upstream channel from a specific cable-
mac (MAC Domain).
Note: It will also be necessary to
shutdown the upstream channel first
before it can be removed from the MAC
domain.
configure interface cable-upstream <slot>/<connector>/<uport> cable
cable-mac no
Example command:
configure interface cable-upstream 3/0/0 cable cable-mac no
This command can be used to assign a
user-provisioned channel ID to an
upstream channel. If this command is not
used, the system assigns a default
channel ID to each upstream channel.
See also.
Note: The channel ID can only be in
the range 1-255
An assigned upstream channel ID must
not be assigned to any other logical
channel on the UCAM. The C4/c CMTS
will automatically do this.
configure interface cable-upstream <slot>/<connector-group>/<uport>
cable channel-id <int>
Example commands:
configure interface cable-upstream 3/0/0 cable channel-id 1
configure interface cable-upstream 3/0/1 cable channel-id 2
configure interface cable-upstream 3/0/10 cable channel-id 11
configure interface cable-upstream 3/0/11 cable channel-id 12
This command can be used to assign a
user-provisioned channel ID to an
downstream channel. If this command is
not used, the system assigns a default
channel ID to each downstream channel.
See
Channel Assignment Considerations
(page 400) for more information.
Note: The channel ID can only be in
the range 1-255
configure interface cable-downstream <slot>/<connector>/<dport>
