ping docsis
Purpose
The ping DOCSIS command provides a method of detecting intermittent plant issues by pinging a specified modem or CPE.

ping docsis <mac-addr | ip-addr | ipv6-addr> [count] [verbose]

Information
This triggers the CMTS to schedule several station maintenance opportunities and records the results. These results can be used to
isolate an issue between the CMTS and an upstream channel, a node, or the cable modem itself.
Press ^C (the control key + C combination) to stop the ping process.
Note: The DOCSIS ping command requires a privilege level of 15, the highest level.
Parameters
<mac addr |
The MAC address of the cable modem to be tested.
ip addr |
The IP address of the cable modem to be tested.
ipv6-addr
The address of the IPv6-registered cable modem in the format <A.B.C.D|A:B::C:D|H.H.H>
[count]
Optional parameters that indicates the number of station maintenance opportunities to provide. If not specified, the default is 5.
The maximum allowed value is 2147483647
[verbose]
Produces detailed report.
