The response consists of:

The slave task interested in the data associated with the identifier receives the response and verifies the 
checksum.

24.3.4.1

Data field

The structure of the data field transmitted on the LIN bus is shown in 

Figure 24-6

. The LSB of the data is 

sent first and the MSB last. The start bit is encoded as a dominant bit and the stop bit is encoded as a 
recessive bit.

Identifier

The identifier, shown in

, consists of two subfields:

The identifier value (in bits 0–5)

•

The identifier parity (in bits 6–7)

The parity bits P0 and P1 are defined as follows:

P0 = ID0 xor ID1 xor ID2 xor ID4

•

P1 = not(ID1 xor ID3 xor ID4 xor ID5)
