Field Description Field Name
MEP identifier of the local MEP originating the linktrace. Local Mep
Sequential hop count of the linktrace path.
Hop
Number of hops remaining in the linktrace message (LTM). The time to live (TTL) is decremented at
each hop. TTL
MAC address of the 802.1ag maintenance intermediate point (MIP) that is forwarding the LTM.
Source MAC address
MAC address of the 802.1ag node that is the next hop in the LTM path.
Next hop MAC address
4-byte identifier maintained by the MEP. Each LTM uses a transaction identifier. The transaction
identifier is maintained globally across all maintenance domains. Use the transaction identifier to
match an incoming linktrace responses (LTR), with a previously sent LTM. Transaction Identifier
