Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 9.3 for EX Series switches.
Description
Configure an optional prefix for the remote ID suboption in the DHCP option 82 information
that is inserted by the switch into the packet header of a DHCP request before it forwards
or relays the request to a DHCP server.
Default
If
prefix
is not explicitly specified, no prefix is appended to the remote ID.
Options
hostname
—Name of the host system (the switch) that is forwarding or relaying the DHCP
request from the DHCP client to the DHCP server.
mac
—MAC address of the host system (the switch) that is forwarding or relaying the
DHCP request from the DHCP client to the DHCP server.
none
—No prefix is applied to the remote ID.
