3 - ELECTRIC STARTING
SYSTEM

The references of the elements
shown below are to be found in the
wiring diagram in Section P 1.
Electric starting system
The key components of the electric
starting system are a contactor (6)
and a starter motor (5) fed by the
battery (7).
The engine starting strategy is
managed entirely by the engine
control unit (33), which monitors
the following inputs:
- RH handlebar switch engine
Stop (1)
- RH handlebar switch engine
Start (1)
- Neutral sensor (34)
- Side stand sensor (19)
- Clutch microswitch (38)
When these inputs are combined in
the required manner, the engine
control unit (33) enables engine
starting.
The table lists possible engine
starting combinations.
In accordance with the status of
specific engine control unit inputs and
the indications given in the table, the
control unit enables operation of the
starter motor (ON status) when the
START button is pressed.
X = generic status of neutral gear,
clutch, and side stand.
3 - AVVIAMENTO

Sistema avviamento
elettrico
Il sistema di avviamento elettrico è
costituito principalmente da un
teleruttore (6) e da un motorino di
avviamento (5) alimentato dalla
batteria (7).
L'avviamento del veicolo ha una
strategia completamente gestita dalla
centralina controllo motore (33), la
quale tiene conto dei seguenti
ingressi:
- Engine Stop del Commutatore
destro (1)
- Start Engine del Commutatore
destro (1)
- Sensore folle (34)
- Sensore stampella (19)
- Microinterurrore frizione (38)
Attraverso la combinazione
favorevole di tali ingressi la
centralina (33) abilita l'avviamento.
La tabella elenca le possibili
combinazioni di avviamento.
Secondo quanto indicato nella
seguente tabella, in funzione dello
stato di specifici ingressi alla
centralina, quest'ultima abilita il
funzionamento del motorino di
avviamento (stato ON) quando viene
premuto il pulsante START.
X = stato generico del folle, della
frizione e della stampella.
