Overhauling the heads
Clean off any carbon deposits from
the combustion chamber and its
ducts.
Check for cracking and inspect the
sealing surfaces for scoring, steps
or other damage.
Mating surface to match cylinder
must be perfectly flat. If this is not
the case, spread diamond dressing
compound (thickness
6-12 micron)
on a reference surface and slide head
on reference surface as shown in the
figure until obtaining a flat finish.

Rimuovere i depositi carboniosi dalla
camera di combustione e dai relativi
condotti.
Controllare che non vi siano crepe e
che le superfici di tenuta risultino
prive di solchi, scalini o altri danni.
La planarità della superficie di
accoppiamento con il cilindro deve
essere perfetta. In caso contrario,
applicare su di un piano di riscontro
sospensione diamantata (spessore
6÷12 micron) e ripassare la superficie
muovendo la testa come evidenziato
in figura, fino ad ottenere un piano
uniforme.
