Adjusting the throttle
cable
For instructions on how to adjust the
throttle cable, see Section D 4.
Removal of the throttle
cable
Loosen the bolt (1) and slide out the
rear-view mirror assembly (A).
Peel back the rubber sleeve (C)
protecting the throttle control cables.
Unscrew the bolts (A) and separate
the two halves of the twistgrip
housing (3).
Free the ends of the inner throttle
opening (B) and closing (D) cables
from the twistgrip.
Remove the throttle twistgrip (3) from
the handlebar.
Notes
To renew the throttle cable,
disconnect it from the throttle body
as described in Section L 6.
The throttle cables are supplied as
spares complete with adjusters.
Refitting the throttle
twistgrip
Lubricate the ends of the throttle
control cables (B) and (D) and the race
with the recommended grease.
To refit the throttle control, follows
the steps of the removal procedure
in reverse order, ensuring that the
locating pin (E) on the upper twistgrip
housing locates in the hole (F) in the
handlebar.
Notes
Refer to the figures at the end
of the chapter for correct routing of
the throttle control cables.
For throttle cable adjustment, see
Section D 4.
Tighten the bolt (1) to the specified
torque (Sect. C 3).
Regolazione cavo di
comando acceleratore
Per intervenire sui registri del cavo
comando acceleratore consultare la
Sezione D 4.
Smontaggio comando
acceleratore
Allentare la vite (1) e sfilare il gruppo
specchio retrovisore (A).
Sfilare leggermente il cappuccio in
gomma (C) di protezione cavi
comando acceleratore.
Svitare le viti (A) che fissano i due
gusci del comando acceleratore (3)
ed aprire il comando.
Scarrucolare i cavi di apertura (B) e
chiusura (D) sfilando i nottolini dalle
loro sedi.
Rimuovere il comando acceleratore (3)
dal manubrio.
Note
Per sostituire i cavi comando
acceleratore è necessario rimuoverli
dal corpo farfallato come descritto alla
Sezione L 6.
I cavi comando acceleratore sono
forniti a ricambio completi di registri.
Rimontaggio comando
acceleratore
Lubrificare l'estremità dei cavi (B) e (D)
di comando acceleratore e la carrucola
con grasso prescritto.
Per il rimontaggio dei componenti
comando acceleratore eseguire in
ordine inverso le procedure descritte
per lo smontaggio, posizionando il
pernino (E), ricavato nel coperchio
superiore del comando acceleratore
nell'apposito foro (F) sul manubrio.

Per il posizionamento dei cavi
comando acceleratore fare riferimento
alle immagini di fine capitolo.

Serrare la vite (1) alla coppia prescritta
(Sez. C 3).
