Revisione cilindro
Controllare che le pareti siano
perfettamente lisce. Effettuare la
misurazione del diametro (D) del
cilindro a tre altezze diverse ed in due
direzioni a 90° tra di loro, ottenendo
così il valore dell'accoppiamento, di
conicità e di ovalizzazione (vedi valori
prescritti alla Sezione C 1).
In caso di danni od usura eccessiva il
cilindro deve essere sostituito poiché
essendo con riporto di carburi di silicio
(che conferisce alle pareti del cilindro
delle straordinarie qualità antiattrito
ed antiusura) non può essere
rettificato.
I cilindri sono contrassegnati da una
lettera (stampigliata nell'apposita
superficie sul fianco del cilindro)
indicante la classe di appartenenza.
L'accoppiamento cilindro-pistone va
sempre fatto tra classi uguali.

Overhauling the cylinder
Check that the walls are perfectly
smooth. Measure the cylinder
diameter (D) at three different heights
and in two directions offset by 90°,
thereby determining the assembly
clearance, taper, and out of round
(see prescribed values at
Section C 1).
In the event of damage or excessive
wear the cylinder must be renewed
as it has a silicon carbide coating
(which provides the cylinder walls
with excellent anti-friction and anti-
wear properties) and therefore
cannot be rebored.
The cylinders are marked by a letter
(punched into the specific surface
on the cylinder side) showing the
class to which they belong.
Always match cylinder and piston
from the same class.
